8-inch main break sends water gushing down Philadelphia street

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Repairs are underway after a water main break sent muddy water gushing down Cottman Avenue near Franklin Street in Philadelphia's Tacony neighborhood.

The 8-inch main broke just before 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Water service was cut off so that repairs could be made.

There's no word yet on what caused the water main break or how long the repairs will take.
