Water seen shooting from roadway after main breaks in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A water main break forced the closure of part of a North Philadelphia street on Thursday.

The break occurred on the 800 block of North 8th Street, near the East Poplar Playground.

Water could be seen shooting out from the roadway at the scene.

As a result, 8th Street was closed between Brown Street and Poplar Street.

No additional details were immediately available.
