WILDWOOD CREST, New Jersey (WPVI) -- This jersey shore lifeguard community has made itself a true family.
The Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol is home to two members who work side by side with their own grandchildren.
They pass down their decades of experience to the next generation serving the beaches.
"So many things that you develop down here working on a beach and with the responsibility that you have, that it makes you grow up real fast. They're all certified in advanced first aid. They're all certified in CPR...When you're done, you're going to take some soft skills with you. And I think it's going to make you a better person," said Chief of the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol, Bud Johnson.
