Woman hurt after being shot in Philadelphia's Olney section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman was shot in Philadelphia's Olney section early Friday morning.

Police say officers were called to 5th and Champlost streets around 12:30 a.m.

They say the victim was standing outside when she was struck in the shoulder by gunfire.

It's not clear if that was a stray bullet or not.

Action News has been told she is now in stable condition at the hospital.
