Woman injured in Aston Twp. shooting; boyfriend arrested

ASTON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Delaware County authorities are investigating a shooting in Aston Township that left a woman injured.

It happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon in the unit block of Bunting Lane.

Police say a 21-year-old woman was inside her home when she was shot in the stomach.

She was taken to Crozier-Chester Medical Center in critical condition. After undergoing surgery she was upgraded to good condition.

Her 24-year-old boyfriend is in police custody.

Police say he faces aggravated assault and reckless and endangerment charges.

Police have not yet released the identity of those involved.
