FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the lookout for a suspect who threatened a Rite Aid store employee with a hypodermic needle during a robbery in the city's Fishtown section.

The incident happened around 10:20 a m. Friday morning at the store on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue.

Police say a 21-year-old female employee noticed the suspect walking out the door with $100 worth of unpaid merchandise.

When she tried to stop him, he pulled out a hypodermic needle from his pocket and threatened her.

The robber then fled the scene heading east on Huntingdon Street.

There were no injuries reported during this incident.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 25-years-old and 5'10" tall with a thin build and dark blonde hair. He was wearing a blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
