2 injured in accident near Riverton train station

RIVERTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Two women have been injured after an accident near the Riverton Station on the NJ Transit River LINE in Burlington County.

The accident was reported occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Main Street near Broad.

Officials say the driver of an SUV lost control of her vehicle and smashed into two utility poles.

The driver and her female passenger were taken to Cooper Medical Center. Their injuries are unknown.

Although an NJ Transit River LINE train was not involved, service was temporarily suspended between Palmyra and Cinnaminson.
