SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Springfield Township have arrested a suspect wanted for punching a SEPTA trolley operator back in March.
Police tell Action News the suspect was apprehended Monday.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. on March 29 aboard the Route 101 near the Saxer Station.
Police say a passenger missed his stop and, when he realized his oversight, tried to get the operator to stop the trolley.
The operator informed the passenger he could not stop until the next scheduled destination, based on SEPTA protocol, police say.
At the next stop, police say the passenger assaulted the operator while exiting the trolley.
Police are not releasing the suspect's name at this time.
