Officer of the year award

JUNIATA OARK (WPVI) -- Seven Philadelphia police officers received a big honor.

They were given the "Officer of the Year" award for the 24th district.

Officers William Thrasher, Daniel Bowe, Edward Troy, Michael McKown, Michael Hanuscun, Sean Foley, and Michael Wilson were honored for their service and bravery.

Wednesday night's reception took place at Romano's Catering in Juniata Park.
