PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Among the hemlock trees that grace her property, Christina Tornetta's rescue is growing beyond the basic message of adopting animals.
She is the founder of Hemlock Edge Animal Rescue.
"I want to be able to educate people. I want to be able to influence people to do the right thing," Tornetta said.
Hemlock Edge started as foster-based rescue in June of 2013 and they've already saved more that 200 animals.
As the word spreads, the rescue hopes to add a storefront that will provide training tips and clinical expertise while still uniting families with a forever friend.
"To be able to provide the local community with an outlet you know where they can take their dogs, where they have people that will help them with their ownership, yeah just make an impression," said Tornetta.
If you're interested in any of the dogs you see in the video, you can go to the Hemlock Edge Rescue website.
