Fire breaks out in Ship Bottom, N.J.

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. (WPVI) -- Long Beach Township police and fire crews were called to a fire in Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. Monday in a multi-story building on 21st Street and Long Beach Boulevard.

An employee of a nearby pizza shop says the smoke was so heavy, he had to close his restaurant.

No one with injuries.

Fire crews from nearby communities responded to assist in the operation.

Police say drivers should expect delays in the area.
