BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- A group of students is taking what they learned in the classroom to help others this holiday season.
Fifth graders at School Lane Charter in Bensalem have been collecting thousands of socks to donate to charity.
The pairs of socks will go to help the homeless and low income Philadelphia families.
The students were inspired to give back after reading about various heroes who fought for human rights and made a difference in their community.
