Moorish-American Remembrance Day

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Dozens of people gathered in Center City to commemorate their enslaved ancestors.

The Moorish Science Temple of America held a Moorish-American Remembrance Day in front of the Visitor's Center on Market Street.

They read a proclamation recognizing the contributions of their ancestors.

The Moors are of North African muslim descent.
