Students protest for longer trick-or-treat time
Students protest for longer trick-or-treat time. Alicia Vitarelli reports during Action News at 9 a.m. on October 28, 2017.

A group of pint-sized protesters took to the streets in Ohio to petition for longer trick-or-treating time.

"More time, more candy, more fun," the students chanted as they marched.

The fourth graders petitioned to extend trick or treating hours in their community by 30 minutes.

Around 200 children signed the petition, and they took their case directly to the mayor.

The mayor came out to hear their case in person.

It appears the children were pretty convincing. In the end, the mayor granted their wish to extend trick or treat time.
