WATCH a preview of tonight's special report

Fran Fulton lost her vision to a degenerative eye disease. By her late 40s, the Philadelphia woman was blind.

In this video, she is able to see again for the first time in 15 years, thanks to a breakthrough system at Wills Eye Hospital that has given her electronic eyes.

What she sees isn't perfect and it isn't what most people are able to see with their eyes, but it is still a life changing development.

And Fran has good reason to hope that this technology improves for the next generation.

Hear her story and how local doctors are creating these magical moments in Brian Taff's special report, Friday night at 11 on Action News.
