Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho makes good on prom promise

PURCELLVILLE, Va. (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho made good on his promise to take a fan to her prom, after he lost a bet on social media.

16-year-old Hannah Delmonte of Purcellville, Virginia sent Acho a message on Instagram asking if he'd take her to prom if she got 2,000 retweets on Twitter.

He upped the ante, and made it 10,000 retweets in a week. She topped those retweets in a matter of hours.

Last February, he surprised her in person at her school, with an invite to prom.

Three months later, Acho and Delmonte partied the night away, and the "Rachael Ray" show went along for the ride. Acho even surprised his date with a performance on the piano!

"We don't get that personal fan interaction," Acho told Rachael Ray on her show Monday. "They yell for us at the games and they message us some of the time, but I wanted to go out of the way to make her feel special."

Acho says grew up going to an all-boys school, so he never got the chance to go to a prom, until now.
