Suspicious object found near office buildings in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police and fire crews are investigating the discovery of a suspicious object found Wednesday morning in Wilmington, Delaware.

The object was located on the 800 block of North French Street.

Employees from the William Redding City County and the Carver State office buildings were evacuated as a precaution.

The buildings included both the 8th and 9th streets.

The scene was cleared around 9 a.m. and workers were allowed to return to their buildings.

So far, there is no description of the object found.

The streets were closed while officials investigated.

There were no reports of any injuries.
