At least four baby goats belonging to a North Carolina petting zoo have tested positive for rabies.
Officials say the updated policy is intended to prevent the spread of rabies.
A stray cat has tested positive for rabies in Voorhees, New Jersey, health officials announced on Tuesday.
"The raccoon had a wobbly gait, was around during the daylight, going up to people," said Alexis Traynor, an environmental health specialist at the Camden County Health Department.
The victim said they were bitten while walking in the 400 block of W. Wayne Avenue and that the fox did appear to be sick.
The city's animal control is working closely with the university to locate and capture the raccoon(s), according to officials.
