Big check, off the ice

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The commissioner of the NHL was in town Wednesday night to present a huge check to a local youth group, for 950 thousand dollars.

Gary Bettman gave the money to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation at the Wells Fargo center.

The mission of the foundation is to bring the sport of hockey to inner-city communities.

More than three thousand young people are part of the program.
