Flyers make a warming donation

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- The Flyers are making donations to help keep those in need warm.

They gave 3,000 blankets to the Bethesda Project, which is a homeless shelter in Spring Garden.

Workers unloaded multiple pallets Monday morning.

A few thousand other blankets were delivered to other organizations and neighborhood centers throughout the city.

The Flyers play the Islanders in a preseason game Monday night in South Philadelphia.
