ABINGTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Penn State Abington campus opened a food pantry for students in need.
A survey found 32 percent of the students there come from households with incomes equal to or below the poverty level, and a significant number of students go hungry, especially toward the end of the semester when funding may be running short.
The new LionShare pantry emerged from the concerns of both Penn State faculty and staff who knew of students having food hardships.
