PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- The fire on Thursday that destroyed part of Interstate 85 in Atlanta, Georgia recalled a similar fire in Philadelphia more than 20 years ago.
The blaze in Atlanta caused a section of the highway to collapse.

The 1996 fire under I-95 in the Port Richmond section didn't cause quite as much damage, but it was still a massive headache.
The highway was either closed or partially closed for months for repairs.
The flames were fueled by illegally dumped tires underneath the overpass.
