Deadly crash slows traffic on I-476

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- A fatal crash slowed traffic on I-476 in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County early Friday.

It happened at 2:30 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes approaching the Ridge Pike exit.

Authorities say a box truck collided with another vehicle. One person was killed.

Images from Sky 6 near the scene and featured on Action News beginning at 4:30 a.m. showed debris scattered across all northbound lanes and multiple first responders on the scene.

The crash shut down all northbound lanes for nearly 3 hours as police investigated.

The road reopened to traffic before 5:30 a.m.
