TRENTON -- A man accused of fatally beating an elderly man during a Trenton street robbery has been captured.
Mercer County prosecutors say 25-year-old city resident Antonio Sloan was captured around 6 a.m. Wednesday at a city residence. His bail was set at $1 million cash, and it wasn't known if he has retained an attorney.
Sloan is charged with murder, felony murder and robbery in the Sept. 13 robbery that occurred in the area of East Hanover and Broad streets.
Prosecutors say Sloan punched and kicked 72-year-old James Wells about the body and head, causing his death. Sloan also allegedly stole undisclosed personal property from Wells.
