Firefighters declare massive Carr Fire fully contained

REDDING, Calif. (WPVI) -- The devastating Carr Fire in Redding, California is now fully contained.

The massive fire has destroyed more than 1,000 homes, and claimed eight lives.

It charred nearly 360-square miles, and is the seventh largest fire in California history.

The fire burned for more than a month.

Firefighters will remain on patrol for several days.
