Former Phillies pitcher Bobby Shantz celebrates 100th birthday in Ambler

AMBLER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Former Phillies pitcher Bobby Shantz celebrated his upcoming 100th birthday on Sunday with a party in Ambler.

Family, friends, the Wissahickon Fire Department, Phillies ballgirls and the Phillie Phanatic all turned out for the celebration.

Shantz was presented with a Phillies jersey featuring the number 100.

He is the second-oldest living former Major League Baseball player.
