6abcSTUDIOS (WPVI) -- National Recovery Month is observed every September. Substance use and addiction affects thousands of families across our region. While we often associate addiction with visible crisis, the truth is many people who are struggling continue to function at work, at home, or in school-making it harder to recognize when it's time to seek help.

Dr. Daniel Neff, Medical Director at Mirmont Treatment Center, part of Main Line Health joins Local Spotlight to help us better understand the signs of addiction, how to approach someone who may be in denial, and the critical role primary care providers can play in early intervention.
