'Miss Anita' to retire after 50 years of story time in Cape May

CAPE MAY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- For the past 50 years, Cape May's 'Storybook Lady' has fostered a love of reading with generations of children.

Now, it's finally time for her to start the next chapter of her life.

Anita De Satnick, better known as 'Miss Anita,' started her storybook program at the library in Cape May in the mid-1970s.

Over the years, she has enjoyed seeing children and even grandchildren of prior participants.

After her retirement this week, story time for children aged 0-5 will continue within the Cape May County Library system.
