CCCP gala advocates for equity in behavioral and mental health care

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was an evening focused on advancing equity in behavioral and mental health care in Philadelphia.

The Coalition of Culturally Competent Providers hosted its third annual gala Friday night at the National Constitution Center.

Action News anchor Sharrie Williams was among the speakers during the program.

Organizers say the event aims to advocate for better care for marginalized groups, eliminate stigma, and show the importance of funding mental health initiatives.
