PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Nydia Han interviews Ellen Yin, winner of 'Restauranteur of the Year' by the James Beard Foundation and Founder/Co-Owner of the High Street Hospitality Group.

Nydia Han hosts this special event showcasing some of the best chefs around, a couple that is elevating the next generation of entrepreneurs, and a political leader reaching new heights for Asian Americans in Pennsylvania.

Join Action News's Nydia Han for this special event honoring the 2024 6abc Philly Proud AAPI Heritage Month Community Awardees.

This year we honor three James Beard Award-winning/nominated Female Asian Chefs, a couple with a foundation investing in young changemakers in Philadelphia, and the first Asian-American County Commissioner in Pennsylvania history.

The 2024 Honorees include:

  • Ange Branca - Chef/Owner - Kampar
  • Ellen Yin - Founder/ Co-Owner - High Street Hospitality Group
  • Neil Makhija - Commissioner, Montgomery County, PA
