Empire State Building in New York turns green after Eagles NFC Championship win
After the Birds' NFC Championship win, sending them to the Super Bowl, the Empire State Building in New York lit up in green and white

NEW YORK (WPVI) -- An unlikely city was celebrating the Eagles win over the Commanders on Sunday night. It happens to be the one that gave us Saquon Barkley.

After the Birds' NFC Championship win, sending them to the Super Bowl, the Empire State Building in New York lit up in green and white, with a n X post from building's account saying "I'm sorry I have to do this: Shining in Eagles colors in honor of their NFC Championship win."

The Philadelphia Eagles responded to the post saying, "Green looks good on you Empire State Building."

This year also saw mixed reviews online.

"Why???" one person asked.

"You actually don't have to do this," one person commented.

"The eagles are rivals to New York. Shine the Bills colors if anything," said another comment.

"We forgive you. Fly eagles fly," another person posted.

"Hey if it wasn't for your NFC football team we wouldn't be here today. Thank you for Saquon Empire State Building. #FlyEaglesFly," another post said.

Now, not to show any favoritism, once the AFC Championship game was over, the building changed its colors, switching to red and yellow for the Chiefs.
