NJ twin sisters have big dreams on flag football field

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Razalia and Aviyani Colter, 13-year-old twin sisters from Ewing Township, New Jersey, are determined to write their own chapter in the history books of flag football.

They started playing the sport together at 6 years old. Now, they are a dynamic duo within the New York Jets Flag Elite organization, playing for the 14U team.

Jets Flag Elite is one among a few budding partnerships between NFL organizations and the youth in their communities. They expect that trend to expand to more teams in the coming years.

The Colter sisters and their teammates recently emerged victorious in the USA Flag World Championship in Tampa, Florida, in the 5v5 Youth Girls 14U division.

They hope to make their mark in the sport as they continue to play throughout high school and college. Then, the dream is to go pro and represent their country in the Olympics.

Flag football is set to make its debut at the LA28 Olympic Games.

Watch the video above to hear more from the sisters as they practice at Centercourt Club and Sports in Lawrence Township.
