CHERRY HILL, New Jersey (WPVI) -- For a half century, there's been a Crawford in the classroom and on the court at Camden Catholic High School.
In the 1970s, Jim Crawford was fresh off a college basketball career at La Salle. He earned the nickname, 'Skyman,' and was later inducted into their Hall of Athletes.
Crawford was inspired by his father, also named Jim, who had practically coached every sport under the sun in Haddonfield.
In the mid-1970s, Crawford became a math teacher at Camden Catholic High School and assisted with coaching basketball. A few years later, he became head coach: a position he held for more than 30 years before passing it down to his own son, Matt Crawford.
Matt Crawford was fortunate to play for his father as a student at Camden Catholic in the 1990s. He returned as a science teacher and assistant basketball coach before succeeding his father as head coach in 2013.
Today, both Jim and Matt Crawford are both teachers and coaches at Camden Catholic High School.
And with Matt's induction in 2025, both are in the Camden Catholic Hall of Fame.
Watch the video above to see what this legacy means to them.
