Water main break in East Falls

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- A water main break in the East Falls section of Philadelphia caused problems for a local shopping center.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday on the 3500 block of Scotts Lane.

The Philadelphia Water Department was called to the scene of a 12-inch main break.

The main was capped by 4:30 p.m.

There was no damage reported to any homes but a shopping center will be without water until Friday morning.

No word on the cause.
