PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for Wednesday afternoon, with the heat index expected to top over 100 degrees.

TUESDAY: Sunny, hot and more humid, high 90.

WEDNESDAY: Hot and humid with scattered thunderstorms later in the day, high 95. When you factor in the humidity heat index values will be near 100 during the afternoon.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny with a stray late day thunderstorm possible, high 85.

FRIDAY: More clouds than sun, high 83.

SATURDAY: Rather cloudy and muggy with a few scattered showers and storms around, high 83.

SUNDAY: Clouds give way to sun, high 85.

MONDAY: Lots of sunshine. Highs in the mid-80s.
