AccuWeather: Tracking scattered showers and storms Monday evening in the Philadelphia region
A strong cold front approaches Monday pushing temperatures well into the 70s, but it also brings the chance of late day storms.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- MONDAY: Very mild for the final day of March. It will even be a touch humid as a strong cold front approaches from the west.



Outside of a few spotty showers, most of the morning and early afternoon hours looks to remain quiet.



By mid-afternoon showers and storms will develop west of Philadelphia. This activity will push east possibly impacting part of the Phillies home opener.



The main threat with Monday's storms will be heavy downpours and locally damaging wind gusts. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out. Steady rainfall looks to move offshore around midnight.



TUESDAY: Breezy and turning brighter for the first day of April, high 57.



WEDNESDAY: Another cool day with partly sunny skies and some additional late day clouds, high 55.



THURSDAY: Milder air returns with more clouds than sun and the chance for late day showers and storms, high 77.



FRIDAY: Rather cloudy with showers possible, high 70.



SATURDAY: Cloudy and cooler with showers around, high 56.



SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers likely, high 63.
