Wildfire scorches Blue Mountain in Lehigh, Carbon Counties

LEHIGHTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters were hoping Monday's rain would help them battle a brush fire on Blue Mountain in Carbon and Lehigh Counties.

The blaze, which burned about 400 acres over the weekend, was threatening homes.

It came within just a few feet of a house on West Sunset Road in Leighton.

More than a hundred fighters have been battling the wildfire.
