Pennsylvania State police have arrested a student at Drexel University on charges of attempted identity theft, and not just any identities.

As we first reportedly exclusively on Action News at 6, 19-year old Gang Qiu worked at an auto tag agency.

Police say he used computers at the agency to access PennDOT's database.

It was through the database that police say he was able to obtain the personal information of Governor Ed Rendell, Mayor Michael Nutter, former Mayor John Street and actor Will Smith.

Qiu told police he was just bored and looking through the records of area politicians and actors.
