How can we see the weather maps?

February 27, 2008

Erica's Answer:

Our TV station (and thousands of others across the world) use Chromakey technology to superimpose my weather graphics behind me. I would be completely blind if it weren't for the TV monitors positioned on either side of that large green wall! In those TV monitors, I can see exactly what you see at home- I'm standing in front of the weather graphics. In addition, the TV camera lens acts like an additional TV monitor when I'm doing the weather. So, when I'm facing forward, I see myself in front of the weather graphics, in a reverse-mirror image!
