Doughnuts and cowboy boots don't mix

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - March 6, 2008

Deputies investigating a store rip-off in Roseburg, Oregon, were offered doughnuts by two guys wearing cowboy clothes.

Among items missing from the store were doughnuts and the investigators found prints of cowboy boots at the scene.

The officers declined the doughnuts, but busted Adam Hancock and Vincent Whitely.

They've now both been sentenced on theft and burglary charges stemming from the January incident.

Each got two 10-day jail terms with credit for time served.
