Teens busted in shore vandalism spree

SEA ISLE CITY - April 4, 2008 Sheila Erickson still remembers the day last November when she checked on a home for her Newtown Square client.

Erickson says her friend saw kids running out the back. They'd been cooking breakfast. Homeowner Ann Stulpin says they broke a garbage disposal and did about $1,500 in damage.

The teens did $35,000 in damage to another home on 60th Street, according to police.

The homeowner has a liquor store in Vineland and the summer home was well stocked, which was perfect for the intruding party goers.

Apparently, though, they couldn't hold their liquor as they got sick everywhere

In February, a home on 79th Street was broken into, but a neighbor spotted a problem and called police who found an iPod.

Police accessed it and the owners name came up; it seems his brother had borrowed it.

19 juveniles and two 18-year-olds identified as Nicole Patroni of Ocean City and Brian Deely of Sea Isle are charged with offenses ranging from burglary to criminal mischief and trespassing. They are students at Ocean City High, Middle Township High, Wildwood Catholic, and Holy Spirit schools.
