Urquhart was reported missing in mid-January. His body was found more than a month later, when state police and others, acting on a tip, searched a wooded area in Greene Township. Urquhart had been shot in the neck.
Matter was arraigned Thursday morning and taken to the Mercer County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree murder and other offenses.
Authorities declined to discuss a possible motive for the killing or how long Matter had been a suspect. But they said Matter was found in North Carolina in a truck that belonged to Urquhart.
