Customers will see a bit of a break in the spring and summer months, when typically less natural gas is used.
Starting Monday morning you'll have to pay more to take a taxi in Philadelphia. The base daytime rate is increasing 50 cents, from $2.70 to $3.20, and the fare per mile is going up 20 cents as well, to $2.30.
Also, cab drivers will charge an extra dollar for each extra passenger.
We're likely to see more rate hikes because of increasing gas prices. It's now more than 4-dollars a gallon for gasoline, across much of the Delaware Valley.
AAA says the average price in the Philadelphia area tonight is $3.97. That's a new record high.
