PHILADELPHIA (AP) - June 8, 2008
That's because the National Weather Service has extended an
excessive heat warning for the Philadelphia area. The heatline is
to operate from 8:30 a.m. to midnight, allowing people of all ages
to get advice on precautions against the heat and detecting signs
of heat stress.
People should drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, wear light
and loose-fitting clothing, stay out of the sun and try to spend as
much time as possible in air conditioned places.
