N.J. Teacher investigated after frog prank

DENNIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - March 27, 2009

Student Robin Grace says she told Dennis Township teacher Beth Champion that she didn't want to dissect frogs but would watch. State law allows students to opt out.

The student says Champion asked other students to show frog parts to Grace before telling her she could leave.

The girl says when she returned, she found a latex glove with frog skin partially in her purse. Other students told her the teacher had suggested they put it there.

Later, Grace says Champion sent her back for a bag that had a frog's head in it.

The student says Champion and another teacher later apologized, saying it was a joke.
