It happened around 3 p.m. Thursday on the Christina River Bridge on southbound I-495.
The driver of a Ford F350 told police as he passed a box truck with Pennsylvania license plates in the center lane of the highway the driver reached out of the window and fired at the pickup truck, shattering the rear window. The driver was not injured.
Police don't know of a motive yet, but they don't believe it is a case road rage.
