The administration says it is investigating the crash with the National Transportation Safety Board.
Sandwich is about 50 miles southwest of Chicago.

FAA: 2 killed in small plane crash in Illinois
SANDWICH, Ill. (AP) - April 11, 2009
FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says both people on board
the plane were killed when it went down in a field near Sandwich on
Saturday afternoon. The administration says the small aircraft was
built in 1946.
