Local author spins an exciting tale

We know the story of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but what the Kid's lady love, Etta Place?

The record says she was a flame-haired beauty who could ride and shoot as well as any man, all while carrying herself like a lady. History is disputed over where she came from and how she met her end. But Philadelphia author Gerald Koplan has mixed history with fiction to the story of "Etta."

Its a tale of bandits and jail breaks, pistols and passion beginning, of all places, with a gun shot on a manicured Chestnut Hill estate. Kolpan comes to the Coffeshop to talk about the fascinating story of "Etta."
