After his appointment, police say Hackett left the office with the computer in hand. When the staff learned the computer was missing, they called police.
Investigators soon learned Hackett was wanted by the Court of Common Pleas. Police went to Hackett's home in the area of 23rd and Market Streets and took him into custody.
The missing computer was found in the basement of Hackett's home.
Hackett is charged on a single count of misdemeanor theft.
