Breast Cancer 3 Day down to 1 day

The cold, windy weather forecasted for this weekend has forced the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day walk to be reduced to one day.The entire event will now take place on Sunday, October 18th.

Organizers say the weather has them concerned about the safety and health of the walkers. It has caused the deterioration of the camp site where walkers were supposed to sleep.

The revised schedule for the walk is as follows:

Sunday, October 18, 2009
Fairmount Park
2030 Belmont Mansion Drive
Philadelphia, A 19131
7:00 a.m.

The route originally planned for Sunday will be walked that day. It will end with closing cermonie s at the Navy Yard at 5:00 p.m.

People are still encouraged to cheer on the walkers that day.

Cheering Station #1: 3.6 miles walked
8:00am - 10:00am
The Philadelphia Zoo
34th Street & Zoological Drive (Frog Pond Parking Lot)

? Cheering Station #2: 9.6 miles walked
10:15am - 12:45pm

2nd Street (between Pine & South Streets)

5:00p.m. (walkers begin arriving around 3 p.m.)
